Most of the children under BLCDF’s care have been discarded, abused, unwanted, or orphaned, although some of the children have simply come out of a situation where a parent just needed help. The Foundation’s Fund seeks to support as many of these children as possible and has four Projects which Supporters can choose to donate to. 10% of the Donations to the Foundation are sown in LOVE to provide extra care and support for the older vulnerable widows of Katunda Village, who are not able to move around easily and have become dependent on others for their physical care.

BLCDF Children’s Progam

In 2020, the theme of the BLCDF Children’s Program was COURAGE:

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9).

Through learning about the life of DEBORAH, ESTHER, JONAH AND JOSHUA in the Bible, the children grew in their understanding of what it means to be courageous in the Lord. The Program involved storytelling, mimes, dances, colouring sheets and songs.

On the Gallery page you can view some of the photos from the 2020 Program which was run in small groups throughout the villages where the children reside, over a 3 month period. You can also see some video clips of the Program by viewing BLCDF’s Youtube Channel:

In 2021 there will be a Children’s Program run over the period of May to November, culminating in a Christmas/Celebration concert in early December.

The Program is made up of 10 lessons and the children will learn about the Fruit of the Spirit.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,  gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-33).

Katunda PAOG Deborah Conference and Projects

From 2020, the Katanda Pentecostal Assemblies of God (KPAOG) and the Barnabas Legacy Children’s Dream Foundation invited the Deborah Business Education Hub to run an annual Deborah Microbusiness Foundations Conference for the KPAOG women and Programs for the BLCDF children.

Throughout the Conference (held online in 2020, due to COVID restrictions) the women learn about who Deborah of the Bible is and receive input and coaching on starting and growing faith-filled microbusiness projects.
